At the September 22nd Luncheon, Members of the Lebanon Optimist Club learned the details of the Warren County Career Center’s Operating Levy request on the November ballot. The 3.5 mill is a replacement of the original 1979 continuing operating levy.
The facility is in need of major infrastructure improvements including fire suppression systems, electrical HVAC and plumbing upgrades. A recent facility study by the Ohio School Facilities Commission found that over 50 percent of the building is undersized based on student enrollment. Safety and security throughout the building and campus needs enhancement including secure access at all entrance points, improved lighting and security cameras and building wide communications/intercom system for emergencies.
